Fully-funded places on the workshop will cover travel and accommodation, and these are limited to 24 researchers (12 from Mexico, 12 from the UK). For the funded places we aim to attract researchers who have research expertise relating to aquatic biological resources, who are willing to share a range of skills, relevant experience and viewpoints, and who are keen on developing collaborative research. Please note that the Researcher Links scheme is a focussed on Early Career researchers, defined as holding a PhD (or having equivalent research experience) and having up to ten years’ post-PhD research experience. Allowances will be made for career breaks.
We expect participants to have a research or academic position (either a permanent post, fellowship, or equivalent research contract) at a recognised research institution in Mexico or the UK. All fully funded participants will be asked to give a 20 minute presentation.
We will also have representation from regional stakeholders in aquaculture, fisheries and environmental policy.
